Practice, practice, practice, that’s what Friday was all about! The pilots were getting familiar with the track, finding the best line for the best time. Kirby flew three practice rounds with his best time in round 2 at 51.277, putting his best time in 6th place overall. The time to beat was 50.224 and Kirby is looking for another second….Somewhere!
As you may have guessed, there are many factors involved in a good run, engine performance, pilot skill, the fastest line through the tract, and finally, aerodynamics. The Las Vegas track is what is referred to as a flat track, not a lot of vertical element to it.
Qualifying is today and will prove challenging for all competitors! We look forward to seeing you out at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway this morning! Smoke On!
