KIRBY CHAMBLISS, THE LAST FIVE WEEKS, WHAT A RIDE!

Week One- The Barksdale Air Show at the Air Force Base near Shreveport, Louisiana, was a well organized event as they hosted thousands at the AFB. On Sunday, Kirby lost oil pressure at the beginning of his performance, after his famous “Cobra” maneuver and immediately landed. It turned out that a gasket had been damaged.

Week Two- The Ft. Lauderdale Air Show was the first in five years and was a massive undertaking. The citizens of Ft. Lauderdale were thrilled to have the air show back in town. This marks the first air show that Kirby did not fly, due to a mechanical problem.

Week Five- Andrew’s Air Force Base Air Show in Maryland! On the way to Maryland the Team had to stop in Florida to switch engines before heading north. It took two days to do what should have been accomplished in one day. Kirby and the Team were thrilled to finally finish the difficult task and head toward Andrew’s!

State of Mind: Inspired

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, Wow! What a Ride!
