Qualifying Day was hot as advertised! The Hangar Walk and autograph session was busy and fun! Kirby loved seeing all the home fans support him at the Texas Motor Speedway.
Two training sessions were prior to Qualifying, unfortunately the weather moved in and the thunderstorms got to close to the track and Qualifying had to be canceled. The Official Air Race Rules used Kirby’s Qualifying time as his fastest time of the training sessions to determine his position for the race. That puts him in Heat #4 against Martin Sonka from the Czech Republic. The Race starts at 12:20 local at the Texas Motor Speedway. Show up early, don’t forget to wear sunscreen and Smoke On!
