Today’s focus was on the track! Just one day before qualifying, pilots were finally able to fly the course and put their preparations to the test. Matt Hall placed the track record during the first training round with a time of 1:04:072. Michael Goulian and Japan native, Yoshi Muroya, followed closely behind in the low 1:05. Kirby’s best run was in the afternoon training session, where he finished with a time of 1:06:188. With increasing wind conditions throughout the day, it was expected for the track to slow down. However, there’s still time to be gained, and that will be the focus before qualifying!
