Peter Conway began flying back in 2002 in Santa Barbara, California. During his flight training, he discovered his love for mechanics and was offered an apprenticeship in the flight school’s maintenance shop. After three short years, he was a licensed pilot and an A&P mechanic.

Wanting to further develop his skills, Peter became employed at an avionics shop where he was able to work on everything from Cessna 150’s to Boeing 737BBJ’s. He went on to help resurrect non-flying Douglas A-4 Skyhawks from the Arizona desert and transform them into Aggressor aircrafts to be used in Fallon, Nevada, at Topgun. Then, after traveling the world for eight or nine years on military contract work with various Tactical Jets, he decided it was time for a change.

Peter began working in Santa Paula, California, expanding his skill set to include experimental aircraft building. Specifically, he worked on carbon fiber and aerobatic aircraft like Turbine Legends, RV, MXS, and Edge 540 aircraft.

As the Race Team Technician, Peter will be responsible for maintaining the race aircraft, an Edge540 V3, as the Red Bull Air Race series continues around the globe. When not working on airplanes, Peter enjoys finding time to skateboard, play the guitar, and fly recreationally.
