Kirby Chambliss has spent so much time up flying his Zivko Edge 540’s he now jokes that the plane controls and wings are a mere extension of his own arms. It’s second nature. The former Red Bull Air Race World Champion, was raised racing motocross but always knew he’d be a pilot. He began flying at age 13 and by 24 became the youngest commercial pilot at Southwest Airlines. By the time he made it to captain at 28 he was already polishing his aerobatic skills, an interest acquired during aerobatic training for his job flying a business jet. (more…)

Jason Resop’s love for aviation, like the rest of Team Chambliss, came at a very young age. While still in high school he began fueling airplanes at a local airport, which is where he was first introduced to current Red Bull Air Race pilot, Kirby Chambliss. At 18 years old he received his private pilot’s license and from there, continued up the ranks earning several certifications: commercial, multi-engine, instrument and flight instructor. (more…)

John Hanlon never questioned what he wanted to do in life. His two older brothers, both fellow pilots, introduced him to the world of aviation from “as far back as he can remember.“ Realizing a love for the skies, John didn’t wait to start his career in aviation; he had his first flying lesson at 11 years old, went on his first solo flight by 16 and at 18, earned his private pilot’s license.
